Kristin Klein
Office Manager
Kristin has had a lifelong passion for wildlife, nature and conservation. As a kid she was an avid hiker and outdoor adventurer, hiking all over the southwestern United States and Rocky Mountains and has now traveled to many wilderness destinations worldwide including Colombia, India, Costa Rica, South Africa and Mexico. She earned her first degree in Environmental Studies at Prescott College. She's spent time volunteering with the Student Conservation Association and at the Camden Aquarium, and worked as a field tech studying and helping to protect leatherback Sea turtles in Costa Rica. She completed two seasons of MAPS bird banding as a field research assistant and guide at the Teton Science School in Wyoming. Since then, Kristin has earned a second degree in nursing in 2010 that allowed her to explore a profession caring for critical care patients in a hospital setting. She currently splits her time working as a critical care nurse and helping assist on various Hillstar Nature matters, including planning tours. During her free time she enjoys birding with her dog Sully and her husband George, monitoring bluebird nesting boxes during the Philadelphia summer, and trail running and hiking at other times.
